montagu's seasnail, Liparus montagui, found in a Clive Brown crab pot off Guernsey's south coast. This species is increasingly rare on Guernsey's seashore. This may be due to global warming. Average sea surface temperatures in Guernsey have risen about 1 degree Celsius in the last 25 years. This individual is lying next to a bryozoan colony. The bryozoan colony's lophophores are extended and feeding.
