This ballan wrasse, Labrus bergylta, was in a shallow tide pool south of the Lihou Island causeway off Guernsey's west coast. The parasitic crustacean Anilocra frontalis is attached to the skin of the fish above the left eye. The larger female parasite with its brood of eggs is above the smaller more slender male.
