sealord > The pout, pouting or bib, Trisopterus luscus, is an abundant fish in Guernsey waters. It frequently forms schools near wrecks on the bottom and is a prey species for many fish including conger eels. This fish is a member of the cod family, gadidae. It has white, tasty meat but the meat is soft. The fish spoils quickly after death if it is not properly gutted and iced.
