sealord > This sea slug, Tritonia plebeia, was found gliding along the side of a pontoon in the Queen Elizabeth II marina on the 26 April 2007. It was collected for photography in an aquarium and then returned to the marina the following day. File No. 35-901 ©RLLord fishinfo@guernsey.net
sealord > A large bryozoan eating sea slug Janolus cristatus searching for food and spawning sites on the side of a pontoon in the Queen Elizabeth 2 marina, St. Peter Port, Guernsey. Above the nudibranch there is a Devonshire cup coral Caryophyllia smithii. To the right there are a couple of light-bulb sea squirts, Clavellina lepadiformis, and to the left is the solitary ascidian Ciona intestinalis. This larval left-eyed flatfish was collected from the marina and photographed in a Petri dish. It had a total length of about 10 mm. It was collected and photographed on the 28 May 2007.
