Pink colonies of the soft coral, Alcyonium hibernicum, growing on the side of a metal pontoon float attached to the fish quay in St. Peter Port harbour, Guernsey, Channel Islands, Great Britain. The pontoons were placed in the sea about three years ago.

Species identification was made by Dr. Bernard Picton from Northern Ireland and Professor Katherine McFadden from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California.
