The sea slug, Aeolidiella alderi, from the seashore at La Valette on Guernsey's east coast.  I have seen this species only in the month of October on the Guernsey seashore.

The nudibranch Aeolidiella alderi on the seashore at La Valette on Guernsey's east coast.  This nudibranch is infected with the copepod parasite Splanchnotrophus sp. (possibly Splanchnotrophus angulatus)(identified by Dr. Michael Schrödl).  The copepod egg cases are clearly visible on the dorsal surface of the nudibranch.  Photographed on 18 October 2005.

The sea slug, Coryphella browni, is common in crab pots off Guernsey's south coast during April.  This specimen was found in a Clive Brown crab pot hauled up from 50 fathoms.

Guernsey commercial crab fisherman, Clive Brown, gave me this sea slug with red and white ceratae.  This species, coryphella browni was first described in the scientific literature in 1980 by Dr. Bernard Picton.  This species is common in crab pots off Guernsey's south coast during April.

The sea slug, Dendronotus frondosus, entered a Chris Marquis crab pot in the Big Russel between Sark and Herm Island in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.  This sea slug feeds on hydroids.
