This gallery contains images of fish and shellfish that I have acquired or borrowed for photography at Fulton Fish Market in New York City and at fish markets on the USA west coast and at USA seafood trade shows during the period 1982 to 1994. During this time I photographed over 1500 commercial fish and shellfish species.

The eastern US seaboard and northern Gulf of Mexico weakfish, Cynoscion regalis, is a seafood favourite.  This individual was shipped from Virginia into Fulton Fish Market, New York on 15 April 1993.  The fish had a total weight of 5.00 lbs. and a total length of 638 mm

A Pelona weakfish, Cynoscion stolzmanni, imported from Ecuador into Fulton Fish Market on 10 December 1993.  The gilled and gutted fish weighed 1292 grams and had a total length of 550 mm.

A law croaker, Pseudotolithus (Pseudotolithus) brachygnathus imported from Ghana into Fulton Fish Market, New York on 18 May 1993.  The gutted fish weighed 1637 grams and had a total length of 573 mm.

This yellow chub, Kyphosus incisor, was sold at Fulton Fish Market, New York in January 1990.  Kyphosids are herbivorous fish with long intestines.  They are warm water fish that are found along the coast of the southern States of the US eastern seaboard and the Gulf of Mexico.  Kyphosids are also found in Hawaii.
